Independently owned and operated since 2005, Jumping Bean Coffee is an East Coast success story. Our first roast was developed by our founder and CEO Jeff LeDrew as part of his charity work during a fundraiser for the Rotary Club. From there, Jumping Bean has grown into a multi-million dollar business.

Our business model is threefold – importing and roasting coffee at our plant in St. John’s, supplying independent and national retailers (Loblaws, Costco, Sobeys, Belbins, Colemans, etc.) with whole beans and single serve pods, and running a system of corporate and franchise cafés.

Our Roast Master selects and imports the finest raw coffee beans from around the world and roasts them right here with our unique ECO2Roast® process, eliminating 85% of waste and saving a pound of carbon per pound of beans. And as of 2016, all our single serve coffee pods are manufactured with 100% compostable materials. (That’s not just biodegradable – compostable means that you can drop the whole pod, ring and all, directly into your kitchen waste or garden composter. Jumping Bean Coffee is a certified Fair Trade supplier and all our house blends are also certified Organic. Couple this with our 100% compostable single serve coffee pods, and we have a truly guilt-free cup of coffee.

Other retail offerings in our cafés include a diverse line of complimentary products, including our own Floating Leaf® brand of organic teas and other premium food items. Furthermore, all of our coffee is roasted to order, with a turnaround time of 24 hours from green beans in the burlap bag to perfect coffee in your cup, so you are guaranteed the freshest possible product.
